Anti Corrosive Coatings and Paints

Aluminium Chromating

Aluminum chromating also known as chemical films is a conversion coating primarily used to passivate the surface of an aluminum component. The part surface is converted to the chromate through a chemical reaction.

Aluminum chromate preserves the life of a part by inhibiting corrosion and preventing oxidation that naturally forms over untreated aluminum and provides an aesthetic benefit by improving the appearance of the metal.

This finish also serves as a good base for paint, adhesives and other applications that require adhesion. The coating has low electrical contact resistance and is ideal for applications that warrant electrical conductivity.
